Bizkaibus: Every half hour from Guernica in summer.
Laida is the largest beach of Mundaka ria, with all the amenities for enjoying a relaxed day in the sun, playing sport or even indulging in the local gastronomy. The tides change their shape, and in low tide whimsical shapes are created that encourage walking. The beach’s setting is a joy to behold, with the colour green of the Cantabrian holm oak and the landscape opposite from the colour blue of the sea.
Here you will find companies that rent canoes, paddle surf, etc.
It is suitable for children, with a protected zone. In low tide, water puddles or rafts form that the little ones will love.
The accommodation on offer makes the beach a place of leisure that goes beyond its function as a sandy area.
This is a beautiful beach with dunes that is wild, open to the sea and protected from the imposing Ogoño Cape. Its isolated sands stretch for 1,886 ft which on days with high waves displays a fierce and beautiful nature. Many surfers go to Laga to practice this sport and there is also a school for little ones to learn to surf. Throughout the year, there is a bar restaurant. In fact, many come in winter to drink chocolate with bread, and in summer the offering expands with several refreshment stalls.
