The CITY,lovely and picturesque, opens to the sea through a small ria that opens up into a sheltered family beach. The port, the txalupas boats and the character of its inhabitants evoke its fishing origin and the successive stone bridges that connect both sides add a charm that makes Ea a unique place.
BEDARONA is a quiet neighbourhood with open fields, situated 1.5 miles from the city. The church, the fronton, a small square and a grouping of carefully preserved country houses will receive you from up on high. The scope of the view, over the sea and the Basque coast, is spectacular.
And 1.5 miles from Ea, spread out on a hill, we come face to face with the neighbourhood of NATXITUA. . Spread out solid country houses and a grouping of houses in the vicinity of a small square and Santa María de la Consolación Church, surrounded by a splendid portico, complete the rural setting.
The patron saint festivals of Ea are celebrated in San Juan on 24th June.
