MUNDAKA Y SU OLA IZQUIERDA
On the left bank of the estuary that bears its name, Mundaka is much more than a picturesque sailing village. It’s a point of reference in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve because it brilliantly combines culture, tradition, nature, leisure, and food.
It has scenic lookouts, like Santa Catalina, the Atalaya, and Portuondo, where you can enjoy some of the best views in Urdaibai. Wander the narrow streets near the port and calle Mayor and you’ll discover very charming palaces and places. And finish the day with some food and the relaxed atmosphere of the terraces of the Txopos.
Mundaka is known around the world for being a surfing Mecca. There are many surfers who come to Mundaka to surf the famous left wave. If you head up to the Atalaya in autumn-winter you can enjoy a real spectacle.
