ARRATZU
Rural, very natural and with outstanding historical and cultural heritage, that is Arratzu, a village with a unique personality.
It has the best-conserved Iron Age fortified village in Biscay, the Arrola hill-fort (4th century BCE), and numerous tower-houses that witnessed the medieval wars that took place here.
Insofar as its natural charm, don’t leave Arratzu without visiting its wildest landscape and the beautiful and unusual Artzubi bridge (16th century), a crossing for pilgrims on the Way of St. James and entrance to a magnificent oak grove.
