Nestled in the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve sheltered by the thick vegetation of the oaks in San Miguel de Ereñozar and with views of the marshland, this village stands out because of its notable heritage with one of the best landscapes in the background.

The Ozollo tide mill, the only one left of the six there once were on the Mundaka estuary, it’s a good example. Another is the picturesque Arteaga castle, with its neo-gothic limestone and marble tower, becomes the centre of every view.

Bird and nature lovers can enjoy the beauty of the bird airport from the Urdaibai Bird Center, a visit more than obligatory to do as a family.
