What is a Smart Tourism Destination (STD)?

A Smart Tourism Destination is one that uses digital technologies to improve the tourist experience, optimise destination management and guarantee sustainable development. And it does that using a future strategy based on governance, sustainability, accessibility, innovation, and technology as the backbone.
