This tiny village with such a short and unique name has a spirit that is as much a fishing village as rural.

The centre of the town has a small beach, the port and the urban area. The urban area is extremely picturesque with its colourful traditional fisherman’s houses on narrow streets and canals with bridges over them.

Not far from the port, down a trail you reach one of the most special scenic lookouts in the comarque, Talako Ama.

In addition to the urban area, if you visit two neighbourhoods, Natxitua and Bedarona, you’ll see beautiful baserri houses, authentic examples of traditional Basque architecture, parishes, hermitages, scenic lookouts, and trails that take you to tiny hidden coves where you can enjoy the peacefulness of nature and the sea.
