This small village harbours some of the best places to visit Urdaibai and it combines culture, tradition, and nature very well.

It has two spectacular beaches, Laida and Laga, that are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, surfing, paddle surf, or kayaking down the estuary.

You can also get some exercise climbing San Pedro Atxarre to enjoy one of the scenic lookouts with the best views of Urdaibai.

In terms of religious heritage, the highlight is the San Andrés church and its extraordinary carved and polychrome wood vaults, that are known as the Sistine Chapel of Basque art.
