MENDATA
This is a small village with a very rural character that combines heritage and nature in equal parts.
Sheltered by green mountains, there are many itineraries through its beautiful setting to do on foot or bicycle.
In some of the neighbourhoods you can see very interesting buildings like the Albiz palace or the Montalbán tower-house, and in the old town the gothic-renaissance style San Miguel Arcángel church is a highlight.
A few kilometres from the town centre you can find the Balcony of Biscay, which is a scenic lookout that offers one of the best panoramic views of the Urdaibai basin and that is very popular among lovers of bicycle touring.
